Making a referral – Important News October 2019
Leeds and Bradford waiting list
As a temporary measure, Solace will not be accepting new general referrals for clients in the Leeds or Bradford areas from Monday 23rd September 2019. There are some exceptions to who can still be referred into our Leeds service. Please see below for eligibility.
This will allow us to make progress with our existing waiting list whilst we carry out our office move in Autumn/Winter 2019. We presume to be fully operational again, reopening the waiting list, by the end of the year.
The Good News!
Solace is moving! We are temporarily operating from Heart Centre in Headingley whilst scouting for new permanent premises, which will provide more therapy space for us, enabling us to recruit more therapists, and in turn support more clients than ever before.
When we re-open our Leeds referrals, they will be submitted online, speeding up our processes and giving us the best chance to see those who need our support as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your patience through our period of transition.
We still welcome and encourage referrals from the following:
UNHCR Syrian Vulnerable Person’s Resettlement Scheme and the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme in West and North Yorkshire
For adults please refer here, other wise, please click here for children and families referral.
Connecting Opportunities
We coordinate with our partners at Migration Yorkshire, who work with new migrants to develop their skills and opportunities to find work and be part of the local community, in West Yorkshire and parts of North Yorkshire. Connecting Opportunities then refer eligible refugees who need mental health support to us at Solace. If you want more information, or to refer into the Connecting Opportunities programme, you can find the website here.
