Films
In this 4 minute film, we hear from 4 clients (one through an interpreter) about their work with Solace and the impact it has had on them.
In this 7 minute film a recently discharged service user, Maha speaks to Solace therapist Hernan about the work she has done with Solace and the difference it has made in her life.
Hernan was not Maha’s therapist, so this is their first meeting.
We recently interviewed a mum (Safa) from Syria, who has moved to the UK through the UNHCR resettlement programme. In this 15 minute film Solace therapist Philippa and interpreter Olfat speak with Safa about her family’s difficulties, in particular her son’s difficulty adjusting to life in a UK school, and how Solace helped. The art work was created by Safa’s son to hide their image as the family wanted to maintain some anonymity. If you wish to refer a family for this support, please go to the project page.
The Leeds Fund – Loneliness and Inclusion
We are proud that someone Solace has worked with has featured in this brave film around loneliness and inclusion.
Stress Management Group
Our Stress Management Group is a weekly session for the people we work with to attend. It is open for people whether they are on our waiting list, in a therapy programme, or completed their therapy. It is an hour long session of muscle and breathing exercises, teaching personal coping strategies for times of crisis.
